  • One Month Engaged

Wedding plans are going perfect.  MOH's dress fits perfectly.  Just signed contract for photographer. At first we were thinking of using my grandma to help with flowers and go all out, but since she is having issues with arthritis we are going minimal with flowers and using somethings from my mom's reception.  All we need now is just the cost for the church and start doing our counsiling.  The major part of the planning will begin in October.

Had lunch with dad a few weeks ago.  He gave me a few info about the step sibs and who may or may not be able to come.  One of my cousins on that side is engaged to, but no one I know knows when they are going to be married.

Last week J and I went to pick out the tuxes.  It is going to look great.

  • Hell's Kitchen

Gordon Ramsey is at it again.  He is looking for head chef for another of his restaraunts.  This time it is for his Arya in Canada, just in time the winter Olympics in 2010.  I was wondering why there was another Hell's Kitchen so close to the ending of the last season.  Chef Ramsey is the greatest entreprenuor.  What a better way to market your next best thing than to have a conpetition for the one that will be heading the day to day operation on tv for said next best thing?

This season of Hell's Kitchen started out with a bang.  Robert, who had to leave last season for medical reasons, has a second chance.  Ramsey must really believe in him.  Ex-marine turned chef, Joshua, at the end of the last episode, is last seen getting in Ramsey's face just for being asked to answer a simple question.  Who does this guy thinks he is?  Doesn't he understand that HK is Ramsey's show and he can do what he wants, or did he forget who's butt he was to kiss in order to get what he is there for?

  • Book Review: Relentless

A writer is always afraid of critics, but not to death.  What would you do if after you received a bad review from a critic and then all of a sudden that reviewer comes after your life?

Dean Koontz has written another thriller, Relentless ($27, Hardback, Bantam Books), which begins: This is a thing I've learned:  Even with a gun to my head, I am capable of being convulsed with laughter.

Novelist "Cubby" Greenwich has it all with his wife, Penny, and genious son, Milo.  After one bad review from the world's most feared critic, Sherman Waxx, Cubby knows that he should just let it go.  Then he finds out where the reviewer has lunch, and all he wants to do is get a look at the seldom seen Waxx.  Soon, Cubby finds him and his family running for their lives.

Just like Intensity this story started out very strong and ended kind of not going anywhere.

  • Almost week 2 of Engagement

Wow!  How time flies when all you do is show total strangers a ring and thinking about how the wedding is going to look and thinking about people to invite.

Mom is exstatic.  She is helping me out alot.  I'm excited about that.  Mom has already picked out my sister's maid of honor dress.  We are doing a fusha wedding.

I wish that my dad was as thrilled about the event.  Mom helped me in figuring out how to break the news to dad when I tell him that I'm walking myself down the isle.

We are waiting on the pastor of our church to give us info about having it at the church, and then we can order invites and start the major planning.  Mom is wanting a tour of the church but not necessary on Sunday.  J says that she will have to make peace with God in her own way.

  • Book Review: Matters of the Heart

Danielle Steel's newest book is great.  It is about a photographer who falls in love with a famous novelist, and moves in with him in Ireland.  Things turn for the worse after she miscarries her baby and finds out that the novelist is not who he first seems.

It made me think of how I had loved someone that would lie to me constantly and even after I found out about all the lies I stayed with him until I woke up one day.
